We had a great Christmas this year. We all had the stomach flu over Christmas, but tried not to let that keep us from having fun on the big day. We took two full weeks off of school which was fantastic! Here is a fly by on all the fun we had: We put together too many puzzles to count, enjoyed eating lots of treats (when we were not sick), had fun playing secret santa, watched lots of movies, slept in everyday, had a fantastic time with family visiting, had a few parties, played lots of games, did a little shopping, savored some scrap-booking time and just had a super time spending two weeks together doing nothing.
In addition James had orthoscopic knee surgery the day after Christmas and two weeks later is up and around, doing great. I had a wonderful time having lunch with Sharon Cliff while she was in Nashville visiting family.
Some of our favorite highlights from Christmas day include roller skates for all three younger girls, a pull up bar for Jacob, a new kayak dry top for Kathryn, toasty warm sleeping bag for James and a beautiful stained glass sun for Carol.
We do not have many pictures since most of us were still under the weather, but it was still a nice Christmas and we were all better by New Years. As a surprise for the kids James and I gave them a trip for Christmas this year rather than individual gifts. We are taking the family to Hawaii in February thanks to frequent flyer miles. Merry Christmas!
