A trip down the Flint River

It has been a warm spring so far so we took advantage and went kayak and canoeing down the Flint River.  The Flint is a calm, slow moving river, only 30 minutes from our home.  James manned the canoe along with Samantha and both dogs.  Buster liked the ride, but Gracie was unsure.  She really wanted to be with Emily, she even jumped out of the canoe onto Emily's kayak.  It was pretty funny to see.  By the end of the trip Gracie had calmed down - we may take her again, we will see.  Emily and Sarah paddled their own kayaks the entire way.  This was a first for both of them.  Emily shared her kayak at the very end with Samantha.  Everyone did great and we all had a super time.  We are looking forward to more water fun as we get closer to summer.
